OFF-ROADING CHECKLIST:

We've all been there before, out in the middle of nowhere stuck, with no cell reception and only what you have on you to get out before the sun goes down or the tide comes in, you never know when the tracks can prove challenging to navigate so here are our top essentials to carry on you before heading out to the trails.

Recovery Kit

A good recovery kit is an absolute must have! it's always handy to have in case you or somebody else gets stuck. This is extremely important if you are planning on going off-roading on soft terrain such as beaches or through muddy tracks.

Things to include in your kit are; Winch, Straps, Shackles, Recovery Tracks, etc.

Communications & Navigation

Most places you travel to for the off-roading experience, you'll find generally have no signal so its important to know where you are and how to get out, having a navigation tool that is usable offline is so important, this can be anything from a hand-drawn map to a GPS app.

Hitting the trail with a group of mates can be tricky to navigate without proper communication channels, being able to warn others about dangerous obstacles ahead of the trail makes the ride that much more enjoyable, investing in a decent UHF Radio will save you time and money in the long run, plus there's always good banter on the trails.

Spare Tire & Tire Repair Kit

This is often overlooked, and usually, people rely on their stock tire not realising when they come to use it that it is absolutely useless. It's a good idea to make sure that you have a good spare tire that matches the size of the other 4 you have on your vehicle and carry the tool necessary to change it out if need be, and a repair kit. Another great tool to carry on your vehicle is an air compressor for deflating and inflating your tries when you're out on the tracks

Spare Fluid Keeping spare fluids in your car is one of those things you hope you don't have to use but you'll be kicking yourself if you don't keep a stock of it in your vehicle, remember to bring Water, Fuel, Brake fluid, engine oil, gear oil, trans oil, and some power steering fluid to start.

Remember this is our list of essential items, there are more that can be added If you need help putting your kit together, give us a call!
