One of the lightest hard shell tents on the world market to offer this level of build & materials quality and fully insulated performance. The Aero can go on most vehicles, but has been carefully designed to stay lighter with smaller 4wd's and even some cars in mind. The Aero weighs just over 60kg (including the mattress - N.B. some brands exclude mattress & ladder from weights).
The Gen 2 version retains the proven 300gsm South African woven canvas and insulated top and bottom shells that give it superior year round performance. But it adds a new canvas shoe bag, upgraded luxury ladder, heater duct inlets and permanently wired electrics - lighting and charging points.
Quick Pitch Aero Gen 2 Hard Shell Roof Tent
- 300gsm South African woven polycotton canvas is far, far superior
- No plastic corners, as seen on Chinese (NZ brand) roof tents. All alloy, fully welded construction for superior strength and longer life
- Twin insulated. Both shells feature 12mm of closed cell foam insulation (plus carpet also int the base shell). This is lighter insulated than the full size Quick Pitch model to keep this model lighter, but by way of comparison roof tents sold in NZ have no insulation at all (including many claiming to be).
- 50mm mattress (compares to 75mm in full size Quick Pitch model). Note this is not over a hard floor, but instead over the 12mm foam insulation plus carpet floor, so more comfortable.
- Fly is made from the same technical aluminised canvas used to make world leading Quick Pitch awnings. This aluminised canvas truly works! It reflects heat off the tent that passes straight through ordinary flys. N.B. most flys on tents sold in NZ are just made from polyester. This is much superior.
- More compact and lighter than the full size Quick Pitch model, thus able to be fitted to a wider range of smaller, lighter duty 4wd's and cars.
- New canvas shoe bag

- Permanently installed lighting and electrics. Dual colour (white/amber) LED lighting. USB + 12v charging points, all connected via an Anderson connector unde the base
- New luxury ladder with extra wide angled rungs. Bare foot friendly design

- Low profile, but still able to store bedding and ladder when closed in transit
